David Bergman joins UConn after completing his Ph.D. in the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University. His research interests lie in the area of operations research, and includes discrete optimization, integer programming, graphical models, the integration of optimization techniques, and sports analytics. Bergman’s work has been published in premier operations research journals, such as INFORMS Journal on Computing, and in the conference proceedings of the International Conference on Integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Operations Research (OR) techniques in Constraint Programming (CPAIOR).
