Biography:
Dr. Willenborg is the Andersen Faculty Fellow (since 2000) and a School of Business Ackerman Scholar (since 2001). He has published research in Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Financial Economics, the Journal of Risk and Insurance, and The Accounting Review. He has received School of Business Best Article Awards for 1999, 2000, 2004 and 2007. In 2000, he received the American Tax Association's Outstanding Manuscript Award. He received the Beta Alpha Psi Professor of the Year Award in both 1998 and 1999 , the School of Business Undergraduate Professor of the Year for 2000, the School of Business Graduate Professor of the Year for 2002 and the MBA Core Professor of the Year Award for 2001-2004 and 2006-2008 for teaching excellence. Dr. Willenborg's research interests include studying accounting, auditing and finance issues associated with new offerings of equity securities. He is currently Associate Editor for Contemporary Accounting Research and previously was a member of the Editorial Advisory and Review Board of The Accounting Review. In 2004, he received the School of Business Oustanding Service Award.
