Hartford Business Journal – Woodbridge businessman Peter J. Werth has pledged $22.5 million to the UConn Foundation, which will include establishing an Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
The UConn Foundation has received a $22.5 million commitment from Peter J. Werth, ensuring a legacy of innovation and entrepreneurship for generations of students to come.

Newman’s Own Foundation has awarded a $135,000 grant to the School of Business’ Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV), one of only 26 non-profits nationwide to receive financial support. Continue Reading
Associated Press – Newman’s Own Foundation, founded by the late actor and philanthropist Paul Newman, honored Senators Bob and Elizabeth Dole for their commitment to public service and especially their devoted leadership and support of veterans. An announcement was made at a special reception held in the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, DC and attended by members of Congress, veterans, and organizations supporting veterans.

The Ridgefield Press – The UConn Foundation has received a $7,500 grant from the Rotary Club of Ridgefield that will support the UConn School of Business’ Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV), a program offering cutting-edge, experiential training in entrepreneurship and small business management for post-9/11 veterans with disabilities resulting from their service to the country.
In describing the UConn School of Business at this moment, 76 years into its accomplished history, the word “engaged” captures the essence. Our students, faculty and staff are engaged with each other, with our alumni, with the corporate community and with the University.
The School’s growth has been extraordinary, both in terms of enrollment and creating and maintaining vibrant, effective and relevant academic programs. We are transforming the future—of our students, our state, our industries and our world. There is much to celebrate.
