UConn Today – Addressing growing interest from UConn students, the School of Business is launching a minor in Social Responsibility and Impact in Business.

The program is open to all UConn undergraduates, regardless of major. A parallel concentration is also being offered to marketing majors.

The School of Business has been ranked among the 2023 Best Part-time MBA Programs in the nation, according to a new rankings survey by U.S. News and World Report.

The program has been ranked #1 in Connecticut and #4 in New England, according to the results, released today. The School’s national rankings increased significantly, from #57 in last year’s survey to #48 today.Continue Reading

Women need to be cautious about accepting ‘femtech’ healthcare benefits through work, because it could result in personal reproductive information being shared with employers.

Accounting Ph.D. Student Wins Prestigious, $25K Deloitte Foundation Fellowship; One of Only 10 in Nation

For the second time in two years, a UConn Ph.D. student has won the prestigious $25,000 Deloitte Foundation Fellowship, an honor bestowed on only 10 future professors in the nation.

Ilona Bastiaansen, a fourth-year accounting doctoral student, whose thesis examines corporate bankruptcies, was one of the recipients. Each year doctoral students from more than 100 universities are invited to apply for the fellowship.Continue Reading
