UConn Business Society Receives Highest Honors; Thriving Group Attracts Elite Students

The UConn chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, an international honor society that recognizes outstanding academic achievements of collegiate business scholars, has been qualified for Highest Honors for the 2015-2016 academic year.

The status is indicative of a campus where academic excellence is valued and where the faculty officers of the chapter work diligently to enhance Beta Gamma Sigma’s stature on campus, the society said in a written statement.Continue Reading


In Memoriam: Frank Wuest ’82

Frank Wuest ’82, president of the Boston-based real estate investment firm Marcus Partners and a dedicated alumnus who enjoyed mentoring UConn business students, died unexpectedly Aug. 13.

“Frank Wuest was an exemplary alumnus of the UConn School of Business,” said Dean John A. Elliott. “He engaged with faculty, staff, students and alumni. He spoke at events in Boston, he hosted visits by our students to his real estate offices, he took their phone calls, and advised them well.”Continue Reading

Corey Birch ’16 is All Business—On the Golf Course

‘I think UConn was one of the better choices I’ve made’

Grace Kim ’16 pursued her college education with zeal. An accounting honors student, she also minored in Spanish and art history, lived abroad with a Spanish family for a month, and worked at the Benton Museum of Art on campus.

“I figured I’m paying for a great college education, I may as well take every opportunity I can and enjoy it,” she said.
