UConn Today – Geno Auriemma, head coach of the UConn Huskies women’s basketball team, is again partnering with the UConn School of Business – this time by supporting a new lecture-and-workshop series to help 2,000 graduate business students enhance their leadership skills.

The series, which began Oct. 13, focuses on value-centered leadership, learning to reset and transform, and intentional networking. Each executive lecture will be followed by workshops led by a career coach to reinforce the lessons.Continue Reading

UConn Journalism – Nearly 80 percent of registered voters say the economy is an important issue, according to an August 2020 Pew Research Center study. In the same study, 88% of President Donald Trump’s supporters ranked the economy as “very important,” the most of any of the issues they asked about.

As former interim Provost and current UConn School of Business Dean, I am very aware of the important role our international students play in the vibrant intellectual life of our community. Whether international students who learn here decide to stay in the United States, return to their country of origin, or become global citizens, we all learn and benefit from engaging with them. As a freshman, Ryan Stone loved listening to the guest speakers invited to campus through the Business Connections Learning Community (BCLC) Stamford.

“They were super interesting,” said Stone, a junior and a Fairfield resident. “You would take away something different from each one.”
