UConn MBA Students Among the Elite in National Ethics Case Competition

UConn Today – Two teams of UConn MBA candidates are among an elite group of students advancing in the highly competitive National Ethics Case Competition.

The teams—that tackled ethics in the pharmaceutical industry and in artificial intelligence—are among the 10 percent of entrants to move to Round 2 in the competition. Only 37 teams in total were selected from the more than 300 who entered.

UConn Online MBA Program Among the Nation’s Best

UConn Today – The School of Business’ Online MBA (OMBA) program has been ranked among the best in the nation by Poets&Quants. UConn climbed to No. 25 in the 2026 Online MBA program rankings, up from No. 33 last year.

“The School of Business was highly intentional in the development of our online MBA courses, prioritizing accessibility without compromising quality,’’ said Mia Hawlk, Executive Director of UConn’s MBA programs. “Those deliberate efforts continue to pay dividends for our program and, most importantly, for our students.’’

School of Business Announces New One-Year MBA Program, Cutting the Time to Completion in Half

UConn Today – The School of Business is launching a new One-Year MBA program, a fast-track alternative that offers the same rigor, coursework, and faculty instruction as the two existing MBA paths, but can be completed in about half the time.

The 42-credit One-Year MBA program will begin this summer. The School currently serves 750 MBA students, enrolled in either a completely online MBA program or a flexible, hybrid alternative.

MBA’s Michael Bozzi Named Honorary Commander of Air National Guard Unit

UConn Today – Michael Bozzi, an adjunct faculty member in the MBA program and the Director of the MBA Office of Student Services, has been selected as the Honorary Commander for the Connecticut Air National Guard’s 103rd Maintenance Group.

He is the first civilian to receive the appointment. During his three-year tenure, he will share his leadership knowledge and expertise with the 250-member maintenance group, attend many of their social functions, and go on a training flight to learn more about their work.

UConn Online MBA Program Debuts Highly in New National Ranking

UConn Today – The UConn Online MBA program debuted at No. 33 among the best online programs in the nation, considered an honor for a program that recently entered the academic arena.

Poets & Quants, a news and ranking organization focused on graduate business education, announced the results this week. The UConn program also ranked No. 27 for career outcomes and No. 26 for academic experience.

Anatomy Of An MBA Makeover: UConn’s Flex & OMBA Programs

Poets and Quants – The success of any MBA program makeover is in how quickly the new program establishes itself. By this measure, the restructuring at the University of Connecticut School of Business has been fantastically — perhaps even unprecedentedly — successful.

UConn shuttered its traditional two-year MBA in 2021 and redirected its resources into two 42-credit programs: a new 100% Online MBA and a part-time Flex MBA, the latter a hybrid program available in Hartford, Stamford, and online.

‘A Beautiful Coincidence’

UConn Today – What are the odds that two women, complete strangers from Dallas, Texas, would enroll in the UConn Online MBA program during the same semester?

How about the chances that these two graduate students happen to live on the same street?

Whether it was destiny, or just a rare and delightful coincidence, Anna (Neupert) Wildfeuer ‘19 (BUS) and Julia Carter are glad they met at orientation in Connecticut last fall. They have since become both collegial classmates and good friends.
