As a self-described ‘mushy-gushy’ type, Catherine Davis-Gomez wasn’t exactly counting the days until the first session of her Financial Controls course in UConn’s Executive MBA program.

“When I learned what Financial Controls was, I thought, ‘I’m gonna hate this,'” said the highly trained therapist who helps create school-based programs to address post-traumatic stress in children.

Huskies Win International Policy Competition

UConn Today – With over 500 students comprising 139 teams, the annual New York University Policy Case Competition (NYUPCC) came to a close on April 28, 2019. After reaching the final round, UConn students Shankar Kumar ’19 (MBA), Tony Patelunas ’19 (MPP), ’20 (Ph.D.), Sneha Jayaraj ’19 (MPP) and Joshua Schreier ’19 (MPP) impressed the judges to become the 2019 champions. The team was awarded trophies, a $1000 prize and a celebratory dinner with esteemed judges in New York City.
