Accelerate UConn Spring 2018 Participants Announced

Folta, Professor of Management and Faculty Director of the Connecticut Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, are pleased to announce the teams selected to participate in the sixth cohort of Accelerate UConn, the University’s National Science Foundation I-Corps site.


Accelerate UConn Helps Students Commercialize New Technologies

The Daily Campus– University of Connecticut students can now apply to complete a seven-week long course which presents serious topics, such as science and business, in an entrepreneurial context with Accelerate UConn, a project whose mission is to support students who are commercializing new technologies and discoveries.

Winter in Israel: Day 8

Our final day in Tel Aviv was bittersweet, as we knew our incredible journey was coming to an end. We started the day meeting at YL Ventures, a venture capital (VC) firm like many in Israel that focused on early-stage investing. I was astounded that while the US was trending towards less early/seed-stage capital and much more later-stage investments, Israel seemed to embrace their unique VC ecosystem.
