Internship Success Story: Kendra Andrada

Kendra Andrada had an internship this past summer with Lincoln Financial Group, a Fortune 250 American life insurance company who provides advice and solutions to help customers with their financial futures. She heard about this internship by talking to a Lincoln employee at the Spring Career Fair. She did not hear anything from them until she sent in her updated resume to the HR contact. Finance Chief, Philanthropist, Innovator Denis J. Nayden is a Husky Through-and-Through

A year after Denis J. Nayden ’76, ’77 MBA, graduated from UConn, he was visiting his parents in the Annapolis, Md.,-area, and attended a function at the U.S. Naval Academy.

“My father introduced me to the commandant and said, ‘This is my son, Denis, and he just graduated from UConn,'” Nayden recalled. Apparently, the commandant was only familiar with the other Yukon.

“Congratulations, son!,” the commadant replied. “I didn’t know Alaska had a university.”Continue Reading

B-School Offers 10-Credit Summer Program for Non-Business Majors

For the second year in a row, the School of Business is offering a 10-credit summer business program for undergraduate, non-business majors who want to gain valuable business knowledge and expand their marketability.

The seven-week UConn Business Fundamentals Program includes the following three-credit courses: Legal and Ethical Environment of Business, Managerial and Interpersonal Behavior, and Business Information Systems, plus a one-credit course on Workplace Readiness.

Consumers Care about Carbon Footprint
