Business Graduate Students โTurned on the Jets,โ Topped Nearly 500 Teams to Win Bloombergโs First Global Trading Challenge
UConn Today – A team of Stamford-based UConn business graduate students won the highly competitive 2021 Bloomberg Global Trading Challenge, topping almost 500 teams from around the world.
The winning team credited its success to a professorโs advice to make smart and bold decisions, an investment strategy that identified underdog companies that were responding to market demands, and their UConn education that prepared them for thorough assessments of prospective investments.
MBA/LAW Team Members Already Using Their Newly Honed Negotiation Skills
Although they didn’t earn top-standing in this year’s international negotiation challenge, UConn’s team of MBA and Law students were champions nevertheless.

Although MBA student Nishant Jain and his team won first-place in the 6th Annual Business Law Negotiation competition last week, there really was no way to lose, he said.

Huskies Win International Policy Competition
UConn Today – With over 500 students comprising 139 teams, the annual New York University Policy Case Competition (NYUPCC) came to a close on April 28, 2019. After reaching the final round, UConn students Shankar Kumar ’19 (MBA), Tony Patelunas ’19 (MPP), ’20 (Ph.D.), Sneha Jayaraj ’19 (MPP) and Joshua Schreier ’19 (MPP) impressed the judges to become the 2019 champions. The team was awarded trophies, a $1000 prize and a celebratory dinner with esteemed judges in New York City.
