UConn Management and Engineering for Manufacturing – On Monday April 3, 2017, MEM students, alumni, senior design sponsors, industrial advisory board members, faculty and staff celebrated the coming close of the school year at the annual MEM Banquet. Leo Veilleux, chief engineer at United Technologies Aerospace Systems, gave the keynote speech on his company’s many levels of engineering and their vision for the future.

Got Coffee? UConn Students Compete in Sales Competition

On March 2, Junto Coffee—a fictitious coffee company represented by eight teams of UConn students—presented sales proposals to a panel of Altria Case Competition judges for the purchase of state-of-the-art coffee machines. Each student team spent two weeks honing their teamwork and sales skills by creating a business plan designed to close a sale to a large retail chain.Continue Reading
School of Business Awarded $1.1M CIBER Grant To Focus on Manufacturing & Global Opportunities
The University of Connecticut School of Business has been awarded a four-year U.S. Department of Education CIBER grant in excess of $1.1 million, to produce a series of programs and partnerships that center around manufacturing.
