UConn Ranked #8 by U.S. News & World Report for Online Graduate Business Programs

The University of Connecticut School of Business online Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program has been ranked #8 among the 2013 Best Online Graduate Business Programs in the latest U.S. News & World Report Best Online Education Program Rankings, 2013 Edition.

According to U.S. News, these are the best online master’s in business degree programs, based on factors such as level of accreditation, reputation for excellence among peer institutions, and academic and career support services offered to students.Continue Reading


US News Ranks UConn’s MBA Program 31st among Public Institutions

The University of Connecticut MBA Program rose several spots in the US News & World Report’s 2013 Best Graduate School Rankings.

“It’s always flattering to be considered among the best graduate business programs in the country,” said Michael J. Deotte, director of the full-time MBA Program. “Positive rankings such as this, however, merely reflect our steadfast commitment to affordable, quality graduate management education.”

UConn’s full-time MBA Program ranks 61st (31st among public business schools);  the part-time MBA Program ranks 52nd among part-time programs.Continue Reading


UConn B-School Featured in the Princeton Review’s “The Best 300 Business Schools: 2011 Edition”

UConn is an outstanding business school, according to The Princeton Review. The education services company features the school in the new 2011 edition of its book, “The Best 300 Business Schools” (Random House / Princeton Review).

According to Robert Franek, Princeton Review Senior VP-Publishing, “We are pleased to recommend UConn’s School of Business as one of the best institutions they could attend to earn an MBA. We chose the 300 business schools in this book based on our high opinion of their academic programs and offerings, as well as our review of institutional data we collect from the schools. Each year, the major news magazines (including BusinessWeek, U.S. News & World Report, Forbes, and others) release a college rankings issue, comparing the overall quality of U.S. and international schools. Candidates for undergraduate and graduate programs use these rankings as one source of information to help them make their final decision.

Each magazine stresses different criteria, some concentrating on job placement statistics or on starting salaries, while others look at the research and academic achievements of faculty, quality of incoming students, or school reputation among peer institutions. Return on investment has recently become an important criterion in several rankings.Continue Reading
