With help from UConn’s National Science Foundation Innovation Corps program, Accelerate UConn, marine geochemist Penny Vlahos and graduate student Joe Warren are now well on their way to commercializing their technology.

Hartford Courant – John Kim hasn’t forgotten the generosity that helped bring him to the United States from South Korea decades ago. And he’s returning it in a big way.
Kim, president of New York Life Insurance Co., along with his wife Diane, have donated $1 million to help students from Hartford attend UConn School of Business, where he received his master’s degree in business administration nearly 30 years ago.

Despite steady advances in how we treat mothers and their unborn babies during high-risk pregnancies, none of her options are ideal. In fact, the procedure most commonly performed to treat cervical insufficiency has remained largely the same since the 1950s.

Student-led UConn Consulting Group Offered Helping Hand to Financial Startups
Two financial services startups were the recent beneficiaries of a helping hand from the UConn Consulting Group, an undergraduate, student-led organization that works on real-life business projects to both assist companies and broaden student experiences.
