Simons ’95 EMBA Joins CIBER Advisory Council

Associate Dean Sulin Ba and Arminda Kamphausen, associate director of UConn’s Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER), recently visited Samuel R.N. Simons ’95 EMBA at his company, OEM Controls in Shelton, Conn. Simons is the newest member of CIBER’s Advisory Council.

Simons gave them an in-depth tour of the manufacturing facility, which has been the leader in design and development of electrohydraulic controllers for more than 50 years. The company is family owned and participated in UConn’s Family Business program.

During the visit, he stressed the company’s desire to give back in the field of education by providing tools and opportunities for UConn students and partnering with CIBER in its upcoming four-year grant cycle focused on advanced manufacturing.
