Business Week Recognizes UConn Business Law Program as “Top Ten”

Business Week named the UConn Business Law program among the top ten undergraduate programs in the U.S. This ranking is based on survey responses from graduating seniors regarding their learning experiences in Business Law classes. Members of the Business Law faculty have repeatedly earned national recognition from their peers for their teaching methods and classroom mastery.

For the second consecutive year, Assistant Professor in-Residence Mark DeAngelis, was honored as one of four national finalists for the Charles M. Hewitt Master Teacher Competition, the highest teaching honor bestowed by the Academy of Legal Studies in Business. As part of this competition, Professor DeAngelis demonstrated his innovative teaching methods, including turning students into jurors as they consider guilt or innocence in a hypothetical murder trial. Professor DeAngelis has produced dozens of music videos on law related topics, including songs featuring lyrics written by his students, and maintains the Legal Studies Classroom Blog, an online repository of innovative resources for teaching law in the undergraduate classroom. His videos and blog can be found at http://www.youtube.com/user/profblaw  and www.legalstudiesclassroom.blogspot.com/.
