MBA candidate Kseniia Poiarkina ’18 MBA was on the winning team in the Henkel One-Day Case Competition, which focused on leveraging business digitalization. The challenge took place on March 16 at Henkel’s Rocky Hill location. Other universities participating in the event included Northeastern, UMass and Drexel.

“During the case competition, I had the pleasure to work with graduate students from different universities,” she said. “Even though we had never seen each other before, few worked exceptionally well together as a team. We were enthusiastic and passionate about our project, we had positive attitudes and the right work ethic. I believe that was the “secret sauce” of our team.”

“It was definitely a rewarding experience for me,” she said. “The case competition enabled me to apply the knowledge I have learned in the classroom, such as project management, business process modeling, and managerial accounting, to the actual business challenge. I built my confidence by solving a complex business problem in a short period of time.”
