Four prominent business leaders will share their expertise with students this semester as part of the Global Business Leadership Seminar Series (GBLSS). Students who attend at least three of the four presentations will earn a Professional Development Certificate from the School of Business. The program is open to both undergraduate and graduate students.
The speakers include:
- Brian Anderson, Vice President, Business Development – SwapsTech, a fintech startup. Anderson has 28 years of experience in financial services technology and consulting. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in 1992 and an MBA from UConn in 2008. He will speak from 1 to 2 p.m. Feb. 22 in Room 106 of the School of Business.
- Edward Dunn, Vice President, Supply Chain – Carrier/United Technology Corporation. Dunn leads the company’s global supply chain function, a position he’s held since 2006. Prior to working with Carrier he worked for Rheem Manufacturing and UTC. He is a graduate of Quinnipiac University. Dunn will speak from 1 to 2 p.m. March 1 in Room 106 of the School of Business.
- Aimee Benedict, Vice President, Specialty Solutions – Cigna Corporation. Her leadership encompasses Cigna’s dental, vision, stop loss and supplemental health benefits. In her previous role as president and general manager of Cigna’s Payer Solutions Business, the customer base doubled and the business accounted for 10 percent of Cigna’s U.S. commercial medical membership. She earned a bachelor of science from Babson College and an MBA from UConn. Benedict will speak from 1 to 2 p.m. March 8 in Room 106 of the School of Business.
- Meghan Beaudry, Organizational Effectiveness Consultant – Slalom. In her current role, Beaudry partners with organizations to help them realize their vision and build a better future. Her background includes both financial services and the insurance industry. Beaudry earned both her bachelor’s and MBA degrees from UMass Amherst. She will speak from 1 to 2 p.m. March 29, 2019 in Room 106 of the School of Business.
