Biography

David Weber joined the UConn faculty in 2005. His academic interests center on financial reporting and taxation, and he teaches in both the undergraduate and PhD programs. He has been recognized for excellence in both teaching and research, receiving the Beta Alpha Psi Professor of the Year Award three times, the School of Business Best Paper Award three times, and the American Taxation Association/PwC Outstanding Tax Dissertation Award. His research has appeared in leading academic journals, including Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting and Economics, The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, and Review of Accounting Studies. He has served on the Editorial Board of the Journal of the American Taxation Association and as a Trustee of the American Taxation Association. He is a member of the American Accounting Association, the American Taxation Association, the National Tax Association, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a CPA and worked in public accounting before beginning his academic career.
