BIOGRAPHY
Leanne Adams is an Instructor-in-Residence in Accounting at the University of Connecticut School of Business. She has over 20 years of teaching experience and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Her teaching focuses on Principles of Financial Accounting and related courses, including large-enrollment sections exceeding 600 students. She also oversees the University’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, an IRS-sponsored initiative that provides free tax preparation services while offering students applied experience in taxation, client service, and professional practice.
Adams’s work emphasizes structured course design, experiential learning, and the integration of technical accounting knowledge with professional skill development. She has contributed to curriculum innovation and teaching initiatives within the School of Business and the broader university community.
