Biography:

Dr. Rice's research interests include Experimental Economics, Game Theory and Management of Information Systems. She has published articles in the Journal of Accounting Research, Contemporary Accounting Research, Information Systems Research, and Management Science. Her current work focuses on the economic effects of electronic reputation systems. Other work includes identifying differences in bidding behavior and economic outcomes, contingent upon varying auction mechanisms. With Professor David Weber, Dr. Rice received the Best Paper Award, University of Connecticut School of Business, 2011-2012, for their paper "How Effective is Internal Control Reporting Under SOX 404? Determinants of the (Non-)Disclosure of Existing Material Weaknesses." She has made scholarly presentations of her work at Annual Meetings of the American Accounting Association, Tulane University and the University of Utah, among others.
