Biography
Debojyoti is a doctoral student in Marketing at the University of Connecticut. Debojyoti received B.Sc. (Honours) in Physics from the University of Delhi and Post-Graduate Diploma in Rural Management from the Institute of Rural Management, Anand in India. Prior to joining UConn’s Ph.D. program, he worked for five years in various managerial roles across India. In these roles, he worked in a microfinance-based government poverty alleviation program; led a women farmers’ collective; and did ethnography on agricultural markets for a national research project. Currently, Debojyoti works as a Graduate Assistant at the School of Business. Debojyoti’s research interests focus on substantive issues in emerging markets, and subsistence marketplaces employing both qualitative and quantitative methods.
