Arianna Kalian

Adjunct Faculty


Ms. Kalian holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Art and Science, a MS in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University and a MS in Engineering Science (Management of Technology) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She attended the AACSB Bridge Program in 2012 and received a Certificate in Sustainable Design from the Boston Architectural College, also in 2012.

Since 2013, Ms. Kalian has been an adjunct instructor at University of Connecticut, teaching Project Leadership and Communication in the Business Analytics and Program Management (BAPM) Program as well as Managing Innovation and Change.

She is currently Director, Design and Supplier Technical Cost and Readiness, Sikorsky, A Lockheed Martin Company, where she leads the Cost and Productivity organization within Engineering and Technology.

Prior to joining Sikorsky, Ms. Kalian served as Senior Vice President, Operations at ClearEdge Power, and was Vice President, Engineering and Manufacturing at UTC Power, a United Technologies business unit.

At General Motors she held positions as Director, Continuous Improvement, Vehicle Line Director for the 2006 Buick Lucerne and Cadillac DTS, Director, Vehicle Architecture, and prior roles such as engineering manager, manufacturing engineer, and product engineer.  During her tenure at GM, she was on an overseas assignment at Opel in Germany.
