Rosalina Mendoza, ’07 MBA, Director, Employee Experience and Retention Lead – The Hartford, Rosalina joined The Hartford in 2008 as a Project Manager in the Claims Project Management Office (PMO). She spent 3 years with the Claims PMO as a Project/Program Director before taking an AVP role with Commercial Markets Sales & Distribution leading a small Distribution Strategy Team. She decided to return to the PMO as an AVP Portfolio Manager and was quickly promoted to PMO Lead in 2012. During her tenure in the PMO, Rosalina led and ultimately oversaw a number of other critical projects and programs including the Claims Customer Loyalty Transformation (2009 Chairman’s Award) and the Group Benefit Claims Advantage Program (2011 Claims Execution Award). Driven by the opportunity to marry her passion and skillset, she took on the role of Director of D&I in 2014. She spent 4 years leading enterprise ERG efforts, national D&I training, Courageous Conversations implementation, Business Group consultation among other key initiatives. In 2018, she shifted to broaden her D&I perspective to the Employee Experience & Insights group. In this role, she is leading enterprise efforts to identify and remediate employee turnover opportunities in target markets and groups. Prior to The Hartford, Rosalina worked in the education field for 13 years as an educator and consultant. She left education to pursue her MBA at the University of Connecticut and worked as an intern for the Claims Planning and Business Integration group in between her years of business school. Since joining The Hartford she has earned her Master’s certificate in Project Management from George Washington University and obtained her PMP certification and was certified in ADKAR Change Management.
Rosalina has served as the 2014-2015 Chair of Hispanic Leadership Network (HLN) and currently serves HLN in an advisory capacity. She currently resides in CT with her husband as they prepare for a transition to the Southwest to be closer to her only adult son who resides in Southern California. They enjoy biking, kayaking, hiking and traveling together.
Krista Moore, ’07 MBA, Network Pricing Analyst – UnitedHeathcare, graduated from UConn in 2007 with her MBA. She worked as a business analyst for Gerber Technologies in Tolland until 2008. She began working for the CT Department of Social Services (DSS) in 2009 as a Fiscal Administrative Officer under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grant, and monitored federal funds used to make low-income homes more energy efficient. After the ARRA program ended, Krista stayed with the agency as an Eligibility Services Associate and screened and assisted clients with food stamps and Medicaid. She was later hired again as a Fiscal Administrative Officer in the Medicaid Division of DSS to analyze and set the Medicaid reimbursement rates for Connecticut hospitals. In 2017, she left the agency and was hired by United Healthcare Inc. as a Network Pricing Consultant, modeling and setting hospital rates that participating hospitals get reimbursed by UHC.
Krista currently lives in Wolcott, CT in the house she grew up in, with her sister, brother-in-law, and 2 cats. She enjoys travel, beekeeping, horseback riding, and creative writing.
Amanda Wallace, ’07 MBA, Head of Insurance Operations – MassMutual, serves as Head of Insurance Operations for MassMutual inclusive of new business and underwriting, service and claims for all insurance product lines. She is responsible for building and executing on a strategy to enable more Americans to protect the ones they love by creating a consultative service team that puts the customers interest first. Starting her career at MassMutual within Women’s Marketing, Amanda sought out challenging roles in Field Distribution, Babson Capital in Product Development & Client Management, Corporate Strategy and Finance. Prior to taking the lead for Insurance Operations, she had responsibility for building the Direct to Consumer strategy for MassMutual branded products with over 40K policies sold in a digital environment. She also had responsibility and oversight for serving 2.2 million policyholders within the Client Servicing team, issuing $2 billion of Annuity sales and Strategic Projects. Amanda specializes in strategic finance, mergers and acquisitions, strategy development and transformational execution.
Amanda received her MBA from University of Connecticut with a specialty in Finance and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts. During her time at MassMutual, Amanda has been a recipient of the Working Mother of the Year award. Amanda lives in Tolland, Connecticut with her husband and four children. When she has free time, she drives her kids to swim class, referees small children, sleeps, watches Frozen, referees small children, and laughs, a lot.
