The GBA is the
student body of the UConn MBA program. It is a
great platform to expand your network with
alumni and peers. It also offers a great way to
relax through happy hours, social events and
field trips. The students select what they want
to do, how they want to do it and when they want
it to happen. It offers an excellent opportunity
to give back to the school and surrounding
communities. One of the highlights of the GBA
year is the annual MBA golf tournament where
more than a 100 professionals from various
companies participate. These activities are
excellent opportunities to meet and interact
with alumni and area business representatives.
Leveraging these relationships and the
experience gained in the MBA Program helps
students maximize their job search and the
recruitment process.
For many years the
GBA has supported Habitat for Humanity
by helping to build homes in the Hartford area.
Now, through the Community Service Club there
are many other opportunities to give back to the
community and to put your experience and
classroom knowledge to work. From helping
organizations like Guakia, Inc. with a new
marketing plan to raising money for the American
Cancer Society Relay for Life, GBA members truly
help make a difference in Connecticut. This year
we are working with our corporate partners in
extending our reach to the community.
