Tom Adams, Assistant Professor of Accounting, joins UConn after earning his PhD in accounting at Temple University in 2016. Tom is an Accounting Doctoral Scholars (ADS) award recipient and a Center for Audit Quality (CAQ) research grant recipient. At Temple’s Fox School of Business, he received many awards including the school’s Dissertation Completion Grant, High Achievement Award, and Award for Excellence in Doctoral Teaching. He is also a CPA, a CGMA, and a SAS-Certified Advanced Programmer.
Prior to his PhD studies, Tom worked at a Big 4 public accounting firm as an Audit Senior Associate. He also worked as a Senior Financial Analyst for a large medical device manufacturer. His research interests include: audit quality, corporate governance, internal control, and financial reporting quality.
