Nian Wang is a marketing Ph.D. student at University of Connecticut. Nian attained a BE degree in Hydraulic Engineering from Tsinghua University (Beijing, China). Currently, Nian is a graduate assistant at UConn and teaches Introduction to Marketing Management. Nian’s current research interests lie in modeling consumers’ options (no response, return, bad debt, and pay) to respond to direct mail. Her study shows the importance of considering bad debt jointly with product return in studying consumers’ responses in direct marketing. Nian presented her work in the Marketing Science Conference in June, 2014.
