The Center for Healthcare and Insurance Studies was founded in 1976 to support healthcare research, teaching, and service at the University of Connecticut and to assist Connecticut businesses, healthcare institutions, and consumers in their pursuit of affordable, high-quality healthcare.

The Working Papers Series fosters research on healthcare and insurance issues across disciplines at the University of Connecticut and its Partner Institutions.
