Academic Programs in Healthcare Management

The Center for Healthcare & Insurance Studies provides academic preparation in the field of healthcare management for both full-time and part-time students. We offer degree programs in healthcare management at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as specialized certificate programs. Our programs are small and personalized, but draw upon the resources available within a large research-based university setting. We also offer custom designed programs in healthcare management to meet the educational training needs of healthcare related organizations. Programs have ranged from basic introductory healthcare courses for entry level health care professionals to advanced learning executive retreats. In the past, we have provided specialized in-house training programs to organizations including Aetna,CIGNA Healthcare, ConnectiCare,Connecticut Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Connecticut Childrens Medical Center, Office of Health Care Access, the Travelers, United Health Care, Waterbury Hospital, and others.
