The permission number form is in the process of being updated to accept the new catalog numbers. In the interim, please continue to use the old catalog numbers. For a conversion chart, please visit: http://web.uconn.edu/courserenumbering/ ____________________________________________________________________________________________ 1. This site is for Summer 2008 and Fall 2008 University of Connecticut School of Business Undergraduate classes only (all campuses). 2. You should register for classes through the registration system first. In many cases, permission numbers will not be issued until everyone has had a chance to register. Enrollment appointments are assigned by descending order of earned credits. Most departments will not consider overenrolling a section until all sections of that class are full. 3. Accounting 2001 is open to freshmen and 2101 is open to sophomores. All other School of Business classes require that a student has earned at least (some require more) 54 credits before the class begins. Most 3000 and 4000 level business classes offered on the Storrs campus have a user fee attached to a University-leased notebook computer. If you do not already have BADM 3001 or 3005 on your schedule/transcript; you will not be eligible for a permission number for a major business class offered in the Storrs campus. 4. BADM courses are intended for students pursing the business minor and do not require the notebook fee. These classes are open only to non-business students. Business students do NOT receive credit for these courses. 5. Many classes have pre-requisites and/or co-requisites. You must satisfy these in order to be eligible for a permission number. Please see the catalog for requisite information. 6. Many classes are open only to students in a particular major. Please check "reserved" vs. "unreserved" capacities. 7. If you are uncertain whether a particular class is required for your degree program, please check your degree progress. BOLD-faced classes are required for your program. Others are electives. Departments will give priority to their majors first. If you are unclear about the requirements for your major, please see the plans of study on our website. Again, you may not have earned enough credits to be eligible to take a particular class at this point in your program. 8. Information submitted in this form will be compared to the official student administration records system. False or misleading statements will disqualify requests. 9. Submission of this form does not guarantee enrollment in a class. If you need to be enrolled full-time, you must register for 12 credits. It is strongly recommended that you do so now (even if it means registering for electives), so that you will not alter your status at the University. You can always swap a class should you receive a permission number. 10. If you receive a permission number and are not certain about how to use it in Version 8 of PeopleSoft's StudentAdmin module.
