On-Campus PresentationsAn effective presentation provides student with a strong sense of the objectives and career paths offered by your company. Evening recruiting presentations are typically held in a classroom in the School of Business. The classrooms provide PowerPoint, video, and computer projection capability. They are typically held Monday through Thursday. They are normally scheduled with a start time between 6:00pm and 6:30pm and an end time of 7:30-8:00pm, depending on your requirements. The company presenting has the option of providing catering at their event. If you would like to order food for your event, you may contact University Catering directly at 860-486-5053. The School of Business Café can be used for social networking after a presentation, if desired. Note: Food cannot be served in the classrooms, but can be set up on a table in the hallway, in which case Catering must be advised of need for a table. Food may be served in the Café. Daytime recruiting events, such as the Open House – "Employer of the Day" is a more casual event where students are welcomed to stop by for information on job opportunities. The timeframe is generally 10:00am to 3:00pm. This event is either held in the School of Business South Atrium where the BP&CC provides a table, or in a conference room. Following your on-campus event, we will ask for feedback by sending you the link to the appropriate recruiter survey.
