The GE/UConn edgelab was formed in 2001 as a partnership between the University of Connecticut School of Business and General Electric. It was located at the School's Stamford, CT campus. Edgelab was the School's first experiential learning accelerator and was highly successful in teaming faculty, students and GE managers to work together on GE strategic projects with the mandate of challenging assumptions and infuse fresh ideas.

The edgelab program was discontinued in Spring 2011. The School of Business and General Electric have announced their plans to continue the relationship by creating a new joint venture.
