Student Handbook

The School of Business - Undergraduate Student Handbook

The professional staff of the Undergraduate Programs Office have created and published this student handbook to help you make the most of your time as a student in the School of Business. This handbook provides important information about the School, its academic programs and policies, requirements, registration, course scheduling, and special services.

Please Note: This Handbook does not take the place of the University General Catalog. Students are responsible for meeting all degree requirements.

Our professional advisors and office staff work to provide a smooth transition from your freshman and sophomore years of study to the School of Business academic programs and on to graduation and that first job. You will meet your professional advisors to learn about your academic program during the University’s Orientation Program. Although you can meet with a professional advisor at any time, you will have at least two mandatory one-on-one meetings with a professional advisor through your first year.

Take the time to become familiar with all of your academic requirements. What is true in terms of requirements for students majoring in other schools and colleges at the University (such as Engineering, Liberal Arts & Sciences, or Fine Arts) may not be true for you.

You may contact the Undergraduate Programs Office at 486-2315 or Undergrad@business.uconn.edu for accurate and up-to-date information concerning University and School of Business programs, policies and procedures.
