David Gang


Executive Vice President, AOL Products



David Gang is Executive Vice President, AOL Products. In this role, he is responsible for the AOL product shared across various platforms including narrowband, broadband, wireless, and voice. He leads the team that develops the next generation of AOL software. Gang also spearheads the technological development of AOL Products.



Most recently, Gang's organization rolled out AOL 9.0 Optimized, the latest version of AOL and AOL for Broadband. The most compelling upgrade in AOL history, AOL 9.0 Optimized includes valuable new and enhanced features designed to help members get the most from being online.



Previously, he was Executive Vice President, Product Marketing, responsible for product strategy for the AOL service, AOL brands, and AOL Web Properties. He has also served as Senior Vice President for Strategic Development focusing on strategic issues, professional service operations, customer quality, and new product initiatives for all AOL brands.



Since joining the company in 1995, Gang has held a variety of senior management roles. He managed the successful introduction of popular products such as America Online 3.0, America Online 4.0, AOL's Parental Controls feature, AOL(R) Instant Messenger(TM) (AIM(R)), AOL.com, and AOL Buddy List(R), which is a part of the Smithsonian's Permanent Research Collection. He was instrumental in the development of the company's AOL Anywhere strategy.



Before joining AOL, Gang was with Aldus Consumer Division from 1992 to 1994 as Vice President of Marketing. There he created and developed award-winning products Aldus Home Publisher and Aldus Art Explorer. Before that, he was President of After Hours Software from 1990 to 1992.



Gang is a graduate of the University of Connecticut. He lives in Virginia and has three children.
