Biography:
Dr. Biggs’ research has been published by the Canadian Certified General Accountants' Foundation and in journals such as The Accounting Review; Journal of Accounting Research; Management Science; Accounting, Organizations and Society; Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory; Accounting Horizons; Artificial Intelligence Magazine; Expert Systems Review; The CPA Journal; and Management Information Systems Quarterly. Five of Dr. Biggs' research projects have won funding by the Research Opportunities in Auditing Program of the KPMG Peat Marwick Foundation. His current research interests involve developing cognitive models of auditor judgment in analytical tasks. He has served on the editorial boards of The Accounting Review; Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory; Behavioral Research in Accounting; Accounting Horizons; The International Journal of Intelligent Systems in Accounting, Finance and Management; and Advances in Accounting. Dr. Biggs has presented his research in numerous national and international forums and has been a consultant for several national accounting firms, medium-size corporations, and the Wisconsin State Legislature. He served as President of the Auditing Section of the American Accounting Association during 2000-2001.
