Biography:

Ronald C. Licata has served in a variety of positions within the insurance industry concentrating initially in commercial underwriting. While with the Orion Group of Companies, he successfully launched the EBI workers compensation program in Connecticut and Pennsylvania and contributed to the refinement of EBI accident prevention and claims programs. His development efforts with EBI led to a professional liability startup venture. Later he joined an agency owner to found Connecticut Life & Casualty, a Connecticut personal lines company, the first of its kind established in over 100 years. Ten years later the company was sold to Response Insurance Company, a national auto writer. Mr. Licata managed the transition as chief underwriting officer and was actively involved in several major acquisitions for the new parent. Currently Mr. Licata consults with Response in several areas including their corporate reinsurance and insurance programs. Mr. Licata brings extensive day-to-day managerial and technical insurance experience to the business school. Mr. Licata holds a BS in Finance from the University of Connecticut, is a CPCU and is an inductee into the UCONN School of Business Hall of Fame.
