Biography: Sudip Bhattacharjee is an Associate Professor and Ackerman Scholar in the Department of Operations and Information Management in the School of Business, University of Connecticut. He received his Ph.D. in Management Science and Systems, with a minor in Industrial Engineering, from SUNY Buffalo. Dr. Bhattacharjee's research interests lie in distributed systems, multi-objective optimization, information systems economics and related issues of intellectual property rights, and supply chains. His research has been published or is forthcoming in various journals such as Management Science, INFORMS Journal on Computing, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of Business, Journal of Law and Economics, Communications of the ACM, IEEE Transactions, Decision Support Systems, and other journals and conference proceedings. He received the School of Business Innovation in teaching award in 2002, the Graduate teaching award in 2004, and the Best research paper award in 2005. His research has been highlighted in various media outlets such as Connecticut Public Television, Business Week, Washington Post, San Francisco Chronicle, Der Spiegel, Christian Science Monitor, slashdot.org, Business 2.0 Web Guide, and others.
