Biography:
During 1997-98, Dr. Seow served as an Academic Fellow at the Financial Accounting Standards Board; contributed to the Derivatives and Hedging Project, and helped develop the Derivatives Training Manual. In July 1999, he taught a capital markets research seminar for Ph.D. students at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and was invited to speak at the Doctoral Consortium sponsored by the Chinese Accounting Professors' Association. He has served as an expert witness in a polychlorobiphenyl (PCB) contamination case between the Environmental Protection Agency and Washington Natural Gas. Currently, he directs the Accounting Ph.D. Program. Dr. Seow has published in Contemporary Accounting Research; Decision Sciences Journal; Financial Practice and Education Journal; International Journal of Accounting; Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance; Journal of Accounting and Economics; Journal of Corporate Accounting and Finance; Journal of Multinational Financial Management; Managerial Finance; and Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting.
