Boyne took first place honors in the competition of nearly 90 participants from schools across the country and received a trophy and a cash prize of $1,500. Boyne completed the Sales Leadership curriculum at the University of Connecticut School of Business and in May will earn both her bachelor's degree and the Certificate of Sales Leadership. In addition, Rachel Rosenfeld, a junior majoring in marketing, won the $2,000 Swivel Media Group scholarship. Junior Lisa McCoun, a management major, was a finalist in the Whan Challenger Scholarship, the most competitive and prestigious scholarship offered by PSE. Chapter members, Lisa McCoun, Kelly Cingari and Christina DeFilippo competed in the Top Public Relations Campaign and Alex Boscarino, Sarah Boyne, Marisa Coords, Rachel Rosenfeld and Brad Sedito competed in the Microsoft XBOX Case Competition. The Epsilon Omega Chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon was chartered on the University of Connecticut campus in 2006. This is only the second time the chapter has attended the national conference. However, PSE member Marisa Coords believes the chapter has established a name for itself in a short amount of time. "Already, Epsilon Omega has made a tremendous impact on Nationals and all PSE chapters around the country who already see us as some of their toughest competition!" Pi Sigma Epsilon is the nation's only professional business fraternity for men and women in the fields of sales, marketing, and management. Pi Sigma Epsilon has enriched the lives of over 40,000 people and has spread to over 130 campuses nationwide since its inception in 1952. For more information on Pi Sigma Epsilon, visit www.pse.org.
