(6/1/2009) -

It is with sadness that the UConn School of Business informs of the death of one of our recent graduates. Brian Costello, a May 2009 graduate of the School of Business, passed away on Monday, May 25. Brian was from Weston, CT and earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting. He had just entered UConn’s MS in Accounting Program and had accepted a full time audit position with KPMG in Stamford.

While at UConn, Brian played Club Rugby and was a member of Beta Alpha Psi business fraternity. Brian loved to play golf, hockey and his X-Box. While at Weston High School, where he graduated in 2005, he played varsity football, was co-captain of the Weston-Staples Co-Op Hockey Team, and played trombone in the Jazz Band.

Brian is survived by his mother, Jeanette Rybaczyk Costello of Weston, CT; three sisters, Dr. Elizabeth Costello-Moyer of Ellington, CT, Dyana C. Costello and Meghan Costello, both of Weston, CT; his maternal grandmother, Frieda Rybaczyk of Lakewood, NJ; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
