NYC Connections Event Honored with U-Learn Award
(6/11/2009) - The event "NYC Connections: Alumni Outreach for Business Students Heading to New York" received the U-Learn Award from the UConn Alumni Association. This award-winning event was sponsored by the NYC Chapter of the UConn Alumni Association and the UConn School of Business Alumni.
The U-Learn Award is presented annually to geographic groups and other alumni groups that have distinguished themselves through exceptional program offerings. Specifically, the U-Learn Award is given to the group that organizes the most outstanding career or life-networking program. These programs include career networking and professional development programs, life networking opportunities, and/or lifelong learning/continuing education offerings.
The NYC Connections event allowed alumni and current students to gather in Stamford, CT for mock interviews and networking. This event provided a unique opportunity for UConn Business students who want to live and/or work in New York City. Around 70 students and 14 alumni attended.
