Management Department Ranked 17th Nationally for Research Productivity(2/2/2009) - The Management Department at the UConn School of Business was recently ranked 17th in research productivity compared to 170 other AAU and non-AAU universities. This ranking is tied with other prominent institutions such as New York University, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Carnegie Mellon University, and George Mason University. This ranking places the department in the top 10% of programs reviewed.This performance tally is conducted annually by the University of Florida and Texas A&M. Although UConn is not an AAU member, the 2009 rankings were expanded to include institions beyond AAU. This is the first time UConn was able to post a ranking. The journals tallied included the following: Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organization Science, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Personnel Psychology and Strategic Management Journal.
