BusinessWeek Ranks UConn MBA Program amongst national “Top 45”; 7th for ROI

Storrs, CT (11/19/2008) - The University of Connecticut School of Business’ full-time MBA program has broken into the 2nd tier – or top 45 MBA programs in the United States – according to BusinessWeek "Best B-Schools" rankings for 2008.

Among public institutions alone, UConn now ranks among the top 20 nationally and remains the #1 public MBA program in New England. This ranking furthers the UConn School of Business' standing amongst various rankings for its graduate programs.

BusinessWeek also ranked the UConn MBA program 16th globally and 7th nationally in the “return on investment” category. Indeed, when surveyed, UConn business graduate students raved about the program’s "great value."

"Naturally, we're thrilled to be recognized by Business Week, and we’re very proud of the strides our program has made," said Chris Earley, dean of the School of Business. "We're particularly excited about our ROI ranking [7th among U.S. programs], which confirms what we’ve known for years: that the smart money comes to UConn."

U.S. News & World Report currently ranks the UConn MBA Program 52nd nationally among the nation’s "Best Graduate Programs," and UConn's information systems specialty ranks 26th. The Wall Street Journal also ranks UConn’s MBA program 51st in the U.S.

"The Best B-Schools" is featured in the November 24, 2008 issue of BusinessWeek and online at www.businessweek.com/bschools.
