The School of Business continues to integrate interactive electronic components into the curriculum and to require the use of mobile computers (notebooks) by undergraduate and MBA students at the Storrs campus.
In order to provide a high level of functionality and support, business students taking upper division School of Business classes must participate in the Mobile Computer program in which students are
required to lease a laptop.
The Mobile Computing Program allows the school to take advantage of quantity pricing of hardware and software, and to pass along these cost savings to our students while maximizing the technology refresh cycle. Each student entering the program will receive a notebook computer that has all necessary software pre-loaded and is network ready. Students will have access to on-site technical support provided by the school’s Information Technology Services department. The fee for this program is currently $460.00 per semester.
The School of Business believes that the notebook computer provides business students access to a wide range of educational resources and well-supported tools for communication, collaboration and learning.
