The Marketing Internship Program is designed to provide students with professional experience in the world of sales and marketing and to build valuable relationships with companies that could offer future employment opportunities.
A typical internship requires a minimum of 120 hours of service over a minimum of four weeks. The internship may be paid or unpaid. Marketing internships can be taken for credit during the Summer and Wintersession only and must be approved by the University of Connecticut Internship Instructor.

Students can participate in the following Marketing Internship Programs:
Business Majors - Professional Practice in Marketing (MKTG 4891)
Professional Sales Internship
- For Marketing and other Business majors who are completing the Certificate in Professional Sales.
- Prerequisite: Professional Selling (MKTG 3452)
- Internships must be approved by the Instructor, Brian Brady brian.brady@business.uconn.edu
Marketing Internship
- For Marketing majors interested in marketing internship opportunities other than sales such as general marketing, product and brand management, marketing research, advertising, new media, public relations, and sales promotion positions.
- Prerequisites: Must be a Marketing major and have taken Introduction to Marketing Management(MKTG 3101)
- Internships must be approved by the Instructor, Brian Brady brian.brady@business.uconn.edu
Non-Business Majors - Special Topics: Practicum in Professional Sales (BADM 4895)
- For Non-Business majors only who are completing the Certificate in Professional Sales, or the Business Minor in Professional Sales.
- Prerequisite: Professional Selling (BADM 3752)
