National University Of Singapore (Spring/Fall Exchange Program)

Ranked 18th in the world by
The Times of London, and recognized as one of the best universities in the Pacific Rim,
The National University of Singapore Exchange Program is a wonderful and inexpensive study abroad opportunity for highly motivated students. With over 31,000 students and 13 Schools, "NUS" offers a broad-based curriculum that will be particularly attractive to students interested in Engineering, Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences and Sciences. Situated on a ridge surrounded by greenery and panoramic views of the sea, NUS is a vibrant campus just 25 minutes from downtown.
The Undergraduate curriculum at NUS is based on a "modular system." The modular system combines the rigor and depth of the British system with the flexibility and breadth of the American system. You can choose from a wide range of modules offered by various Faculties/Schools. Under this modular credit system, each module of study has a unique code consisting of a two- or three-letter prefix that denotes the discipline and four digits, the first of which indicates the level of the module.
The UConn Honors Program has a special relationship with NUS's Honors Program, known as the University Scholars Programme (USP). Honors students will automatically receive Honors credit for any USP modules they take in Singapore. They may also petition for Honors credit for any non-USP NUS modules. Honors participants will receive all the benefits and privileges that NUS USP students receive. They will live in specially designated housing for USP students, as long as they apply for housing early enough.
