The minors offered by the School of Business are designed to offer a basic understanding of business topics for students who do not intend to pursue an undergraduate degree from the School of Business. These minors require between 15 and 18 credits of Business coursework, the majority of which are completed in a student’s Junior and Senior years. Non-Business students may declare only one Business minor.
Minor in Business Fundamentals
The Minor in Business Fundamentals is designed to offer a basic understanding of a broad array of business topics. Students choose from courses such as Principles of Managerial Accounting, The Legal and Ethical Environment of Business, Financial Management, Managerial and Interpersonal Behavior, Introduction to Marketing Management, and Business Information Systems.

The Minor in Entrepreneurship is designed to offer a basic understanding of entrepreneurship topics. Students take various Business courses including Managerial and Interpersonal Behavior, Risks and Rewards of Entrepreneurship, and New Venture Management.

The Minor in Professional Sales is designed to offer a basic understanding of professional selling topics. Students take various Business courses including Introduction to Marketing Management, Professional Selling, Sales Management and Leadership, and Practicum in Professional Sales.

Minor in Engineering Management - Business
The Minor in Engineering Management – Business Concentration is designed to provide students with non-Business majors with an understanding of the principles of managing organizations involved in engineering activities and technology development including: i) planning, organizing, allocating, and controlling activities and resources, ii) project management, and iii) operations management, and entrepreneurship.
