Benjamin Hochron, from Edison, New Jersey, is a senior majoring in Real Estate Finance & Urban Economics at the University of Connecticut. In addition to his work with the Student Managed Fund, he is Co-Authoring a Market Research Study for the UConn Real Estate Center, and is also the President of the UConn Real Estate Society.

Benjamin’s approach to life and business is based on a principle he calls "applied curiosity". For example, when airplanes fascinated him from the ground he decided to learn to fly and obtained his pilots license; and as a teenage sailor inquisitive about the sea, he became the youngest crewmember to strap on a harness and race a sailboat to Bermuda. He takes calculated risks to best understand what interests him, and then works hard to achieve goals. Years ago he decided to focus his career in the business of finance.
