New Classes
New Class for Spring 2009: Project Management (OPIM 4895)
This course is an introduction to the art and science of Project Management. Topics covered will be the Project Management processes, knowledge areas, tools and techniques needed by a Project Manager to successfully manage a project through all stages from Initiation to Closure. An introduction to Microsoft Project software will also be covered. Successful completion of this course will fulfill the Project Management Institute (PMI) requirement for formal contact hours of education to qualify for the CAPM certification exam
New Class for Fall 2008: A Hands-On Introduction to the Management Information Systems (OPIM 1195)
This class is available to all Freshmen and Sophomores. Register soon - only 35 seats!
This class includes a discussion of a variety of topics ranging from electronic auctions to blogs to social network websites such as facebook.com and the way they transform business functions. For more information, click here

MIS Social.OPIM Department invites our current and prospective MIS students to come and socialize with our faculty and industry representatives from Accenture, AETNA, BlumShapiro, CIGNA, Deloitte, GE, Travelers, United Technologies, and other top recruiters. Students will find the event very useful for learning not only about MIS career but also MIS major, MIS Certificate, courses and internships. Please join us in the Cafe 6-8pm.
- March 19, 2009. Dede DaRosa, CIO of Business, Financial and Professional Insurance at Travelers, will speak to the students in OPIM 3103 class.
- March 4, 2009. Chuck Balawajder, VP and CIO, Carrier Corp. will speak to the students in OPIM 3103 class.

Rome Commons Ballroom, 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Students who attend the roundtable will have a chance to win and a Wii and other exciting prizes!
