Consider getting the MIS Certificate
You can be eligible for a Certificate in MIS, if you successfully complete three MIS
courses from a list of approved MIS courses. Here are some courses from this list offered

Take your Excel spreadsheet modeling skills to the next level. Learn to use Excel
productively for applications in Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, and
Operations.
NEW! OPIM 4895: (3 credits) Special Topics - IT Security, Governance, and
Audit.
Why are CEOs worried about Sarbanes-Oxley? Why do Chief Financial Officers worry
about their data security? How should corporate information be secured and governed?
How can companies detect and protect against corporate fraud and white-collar crime?
This course takes you through the nuts and bolts of ensuring the security of corporate
data including finance/accounting data, customer data, and employee data.
OPIM 3221. (3 credits) Business Database Systems.
Data is one of the most important resources of companies. Almost all data in companies
is managed using Relational Databases. Learn to manage data using relational database
techniques, for data on to customers, employees, finance and accounting.
OPIM 3220. (3 credits) Business Software Development.
Companies have been increasingly automating their activities using software. Learn to
create business software applications for Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing,
and Operations.
